Core Agenda Items

Subvert Timeline Review and Updates from Alpha Launch

  • Began refunding platform fee vouchers.
  • All energy is on getting the platform to "Open Access" — anyone can access beyond the current members-only Alpha.
  • Two weeks ago, invited 600 more artists to onboard with no support tickets — artists onboarded successfully on their own (set up pages, uploaded music, configured payouts).
  • Tomorrow (March 5), greenlisting 2,000 more artists; the rest of the 14,000+ artists soon after.
  • Approximately 8 weeks until Open Access.
  • Next milestones: new homepage, platform-native co-op join flow, updated Ownership Dashboard, new social media content for launch.
  • See Sean's latest platform update post.
  • Open Access launch plan: members "launch together" by sharing visual assets on Instagram on launch day, coinciding with a resumption of advertising.
  • Label research concluded on functionality requirements.
  • Auditing all existing legal agreements.
  • Got help shipping zines.
  • Working on Musical Rights Strategy — figuring out mechanicals and PROs on the platform.

Subvert Financials Revenue and Future Funding (Corp Board–relevant)

  • Reviewed current revenue and burn rate.
  • Want to fundraise to expand the team: one developer, one community hire, fractional operations help.
  • Upcoming vote: Approval of Fundraising Plan (this will be a Corp Board vote).
  • Iz and Freya want to contribute to financial planning.
  • Need to walk the line between a co-op and a business.

Annual General Membership Meeting Planning

  • After reviewing logistical requirements, decided that a hybrid online format is the most feasible for this year.
  • VOTE: July 11th approved as the General Meeting date.
  • Open question: will July 11th be the kickoff or closing date for the upcoming board member vote?

Next Board Vote Planning

  • What steps are needed to prepare?
  • What process improvements should be made?

Review of AI Policy

  • Iz and haana spent the last couple of weeks writing a new AI policy incorporating forum opinions and the nuances of creative AI use.
  • VOTE: Board approved the new AI Policy.
  • Austin will follow up by posting the policy on Crowdwrite for member review.
  • Austin will assemble the first version of the AI moderation panel.
