Our first Annual General Meeting

— Subvert

Subvert held its first Annual General Meeting on September 19, 2026. We passed quorum, and voting stayed open for a week after the meeting so members who couldn't attend still had a say. About 1,000 ballots were cast, one member, one vote.

Members passed all four bylaw amendments the board put forward:

  • 2026-01: Artist and label members can't be charged any mandatory fee or contribution beyond what their member agreement said when they joined.
  • 2026-02: The bylaws now point to the Terms of Use and the policies inside it (community standards, AI, payment and privacy).
  • 2026-03: New worker members are admitted by a vote of active worker members, with a board veto.
  • 2026-04: The annual meeting is held once per calendar year, within fifteen months of the last one.
