How to leave the co-op
Membership is voluntary. You can leave Subvert at any time.
How to resign
Email info@subvert.fm and state in writing that you wish to withdraw from the cooperative and resign your membership. You can also resign through your account settings on the platform.
The bylaws require 30 calendar days' written notice for a withdrawal to take effect. If your withdrawal is in good standing, you are welcome to rejoin in the future.
What happens when you leave
Your membership ends, and with it your voting rights, your patronage tracking, and your access to member-only benefits.
You do not have a claim to the cooperative's assets when you leave. Member Units are not financial instruments and are not refunded. For Supporter Members, the $100 lifetime membership fee is not refundable.
If the cooperative has allocated patronage refunds to you that were not yet paid in cash before you withdrew, those refunds remain payable on the same schedule as for active members. You receive what was already allocated to you, even after you leave.
Inactivity
Membership also ends if you have not engaged with the platform in two years, or if you delete your account. If your membership lapses due to inactivity, you can reinstate it by signing in again. No new application or Member Agreement required.
Expulsion
In rare cases, a member's membership may be terminated for failure to comply with the cooperative's governing documents or rules. The bylaws require the cooperative to give 30 days' notice and a stated reason before any termination of membership.
