Platform Basics
Subvert is a music marketplace. Members and non-members alike can browse, listen to previews, and buy music directly from artists and labels. Right now, the marketplace is for digital music. Physical media (vinyl, CDs, cassettes) and merchandise are coming.
You do not need to be a Co-op Member to buy or listen on Subvert. Anyone can create an account and purchase music. Membership is required to upload and sell music as an Artist Member or a Label Member, and membership is also how you become a co-owner of the cooperative with a vote in how it runs.
Supported audio formats are MP3, FLAC, WAV, and AIFF.
